Hey,

those that were still present during the feedback session have heard the following already.

Together with some people from Lund University (in Sweden) I'm organising a bike demonstration from Copenhagen to Paris for the Climate Summit (COP21) at the end of this year - taking the degrowth-way to go to Paris;-)

We want to connect symbolically the venue of the last big failure in 2009 with the one of this year's final chance for a globally binding treating for emission reductions.

Although we don't believe that we change the outcomes of the summit by our ride, we want to demonstrate that dependence on fossil fuels is a choice not a necessity, that alternatives are possible and that the commitment to change is strong.

The ride will take around three weeks and will lead us through Denmark, Germany, Belgium and finally France.

For those of you who are interested in this project or even to join us - be it part of the ride or the whole journey - you'll find more information, including our Manifesto, the route and a timetable on our website: http://cooperide.org/

The tour will be quite demanding with trips of 60-80km each day in European winter time, so there are also opportunities to share a bike with somebody else, riding "only" every second or third day and going along via train or hitchhiking.

In case you have any question, please contact us.

Would be great to see some of you on the way to Paris.

Best regards

Julian
