Dear all, I am very sympathetic to most of the points made in the text. I am a bit skeptical about the following line:

This is why the German Basic Law contains paragraph 14.2, in which it is stipulated that ‘property entails obligations’.

Something about this approach rubs me the wrong way, I think because it sound like it relies on the goodwill of the people holding the property.
